Welcome and FAQ (31st May 08 at 8:43pm UTC)
Please read this first.
Welcome to My vForum. This forum is a little radical in its aims, goals, and administration, so you may want to read through this FAQ before traversing the forum.

What is the purpose of My vForum?
My vForum was created to test and fulfill a single ideological idea: a forum entirely dedicated to service. The Administration here at MvF recognized that vForums, as a service, surpassed its competitors in all areas except community- the amount of skilled users who are available and willing to build off of this amazing foundation. We hope to be a drawing point, a showcase of what a vForum can be when the limits of the software are pushed to the brink.

Is My vForum an official vForum service?
Absolutely not. Some of the Administration can claim staff positions at vForums Support, but our forum is in no way an 'official' forum- we're just people that love to see a powerful new system with great potential, and want to help it grow.

Who and what are official designers/coders?
Official designers and official coders are the designers and coders in our community we've recognized as superb. They serve as moderators, but that is only of a minor concern to them. They focus, primarily, on filling up our databases with tools, designs, and features for you to use, and on developing future version and new features for MvF.

What about copyrights?
My vForum is proud to be an entirely open source forum. Everything that is produced by our staff for this forum is entirely open source- no copyrights necessary. No links back necessary. Are these things appreciated? Absolutely. But it's entirely up to you.

I saw a version of My vForum in the databases! Am I allowed to use that on my forum?
Absolutely. Every version of MvF will be put in our databases, for use by the public, approximately two weeks after we release it. With no forced copyrights, just like any other official product.

When is the next version due to come out?
We don't know. Our versions take a long time to come out, not because they take that much time to develop, necessarily- but because we don't like version numbering too much. Just like vForums itself, we have a tendency to roll out new features and graphics without rolling out an entirely new version.

Why isn't there a post count?
We don't believe the post count is productive or useful, here at MvF. We have found that it only encourages spamming and unproductive practices to artificially raise it. Instead, to designate the user's veteran status and helpfulness, we've implemented the Reputation system. As soon as it is practical, the ranks will be based off reputation, not post count. {Smile}

My question isn't answered! Who can I ask?
Our Administration would love to answer your unanswered questions. {Smile}
